BEARING PROTECTION RING SERVICE KIT FOR Gen 4 (BDU4XX) MOTORS
- Used for protecting the outer left and right hand crankshaft bearings.
- 1x Left hand bearing ring seal.
- 2x Circlips.
- 1x Right hand bearing ring seal.
- 1x lifting-tool
The adhesive grease is no longer included in the service kit. Instead, please use a similar, non-water-soluble adhesive grease based on calcium soap of NLGI class 2 (operating temperature: -30/+120 °C, dropping point: 180 °C, density: 0.89g/ml (25.00 °C). You’ll find more details in the assembly instructions.
This O-Ring sits between the front chainring (or chainring spider) and the lock nut. The O-ring is not fitted to all bikes, a new one should only be fitted if an old one is removed.

Bosch long life tacky grease for any externally fitted seal or bearing cover. This is an excellent product to greatly increase the life and water integrity of your ebike motor.
This grease should be checked and re-applied on a regular basis depending on your local weather conditions, riding terrain, bike cleaning habits etc.
This grease should NOT be used inside the motor!
